Garett's the name and guitar is my game!
So, um, I've always wanted to be a singer but the truth is I'm kind of sucky at that... but I love playing the guitar so I figured why not let my guitar do the singing ?
As a wee lad I was into early 90's rock bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc. (well I still am). Then I got into guitarists like Hendrix, SRV, Clapton etc. and later 'found' other players like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai etc.

(then throw in some of jazz & blues and you got the idea!)
This year, after a couple of months in the studio, working with an ass-kicking drummer from Ohio named Aaron Apter; an art student from Ireland and a big CD manufacturing company I've come out with my first album called "RAW" !!!
I started playing guitar around age 11 but I wanted to play since I was just a lil' young'un. I remember at like 4 or 5 years-old I asked my parents for an electric guitar but they made me take piano lessons instead .. ugh. Well I stuck through lessons for many years and I got kind of not-sucky at it and eventually my dad got me my first guitar .. an acoustic! ugh x 2. But I stuck through that and learned a lot and finally he bought me an electric guitar a couple years later.
I live Windsor, Ontario Canada. A lot of people who live here like to complain that it's boring but anyone who knocks Windsor can really lick my nuts because Windsor has a lot to offer everyone. Whether you're into Music, Art, Clubbing, Gambling, Sports etc. it has it all. We've got both a local College and a University and since we're right across the border from Detroit and our drinking age is 19 we get a lot of kids 19 and 20 years-old come over to drink. So there's lots of young people here and lots of clubs and bars to serve them alcohol and give them live music.
After a few years of playing I started teaching and that's a pretty cool experience. You start understanding things a lot better when you have to figure out how to explain it ways so that other people will understand it too.
I play in another band called "The Hollow Mind" that you might wanna check out too. They've got a MySpace up at www.myspace.com/thehollowmind. Although the recordings up there were done before I joined.
